After an exciting three days at the Midwest Aviation Expo, our pilot and CFI, Bradley Patterson, took the AJ Sport on a real-world test of stamina and efficiency: a solo flight from Illinois all the way home to Tampa without stopping for fuel.
Cruising at a true airspeed of 105 knots and sipping just under 4 gallons per hour, the AJ Sport proved its range with ease.
Thanks to the standard autopilot, Bradley tackled the long haul without fatigue, while built-in ADS-B In kept him aware of any weather up ahead. And if a diversion had been needed? The standard Dynon SkyView avionics package makes alternate airports just a few taps away—runways, radio frequencies, you name it.
And for comfort? The AJ Sport comes with luxury leather seats featuring adjustable lumbar support, which meant he landed fresh, with no backache!
